Abubakary Jawara, the CEO of GACH Global, has been presented with the Heritage Times African Philanthropist Award for his substantial philanthropic contributions throughout Africa. This honor underscores his dedication to assisting the underprivileged and fostering community development.
Heritage Times has informed Mr. Jawara of his nomination for the African Philanthropist Award, presented by the African Heritage Awards Management Committee. This recognition celebrates his significant contributions to the African community. The awards ceremony is scheduled for the 2025 African Heritage Concert & Awards, which will be held on April 11-12, 2025, in Marrakesh, Morocco.
The Afri-Heritage platform is a pan-African initiative aimed at retelling the African narrative and honoring distinguished Africans who have projected the continent’s collective image and aspirations through their various works and professions.
The organization remarked that Mr. Jawara continues to inspire the current generation and is a remarkable motivation for Africa’s future. Past awardees include notable figures such as former Presidents Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, Dr. Seretse Khama Ian Khama, the late John Magufuli, and Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor from Nigeria, Botswana, Tanzania, and Liberia, respectively.
In response to the award, Jawara expressed his gratitude for the honor and emphasized the importance of mutual support in overcoming challenges and contributing to nation-building. This accolade adds to his expanding list of international awards, further solidifying his status as a leading figure in philanthropy and business.
