GPF increases 16 Days of Activism activities for school children in Greater Banjul.

The Gambia Police Force has initiated activities for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV), including an outreach program at the Greater Banjul Albion Lower Basic School.

The initiative, led by the Gender and Child Protection Unit and the Community Policing Unit, focuses on raising awareness of GBV and advocating for children’s rights through early education.

Superintendent Mariama Jallow emphasized the role of community policing in creating safe environments, while Supt. Mary Sibi Jatta encouraged students to report abuse. GPF plans to expand these initiatives to more schools and communities, ending with a Q&A session to foster community trust in addressing GBV.
