On October 30, 2025, the Gambia Police Force held a training session on Policing Public Assemblies at the Police Intervention Unit Headquarters in Kanifing.

Led by Assistant Commissioner Almameh S. Manga, the session aimed to enhance officers’ understanding of police authority and legal regulations surrounding public assemblies.

Key topics included the Public Order Act, constitutional rights, related case law, and international commitments to peaceful protests. This initiative is part of the GPF’s commitment to professionalism and accountability while respecting citizens’ rights to assemble peacefully.
