GPF commands hosts Nigerian Armed Forces Staff College delegation for a study tour.

On November 24, 2025, Deputy Inspector General of Police Demba Sowe met with a delegation from the Armed Forces Command and Staff College of Nigeria at the Police Headquarters in Banjul.

The visit focused on enhancing community-led security strategies and promoting cross-border collaboration in West Africa. DIG Sowe emphasized the importance of shared policing experiences, while Deputy Commissioner of Police Abdou Bojang highlighted The Gambia Police Force’s community policing model.

The AFCSC delegation praised The Gambia’s approach and stressed the need for alignment with international security standards. The Gambia Police Force reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with regional and global security organizations for peace and stability.
