During the Global Civilisations Dialogue Ministerial Meeting in Beijing on July 10-11, Seedy Sheriff Ceesay from The Gambia’s National People’s Party emphasized the need for benefits for future generations and peaceful coexistence through mutual respect and cultural understanding.

He urged China to strengthen human connections through education and cultural exchanges while addressing the plight of the Palestinian people. The meeting featured over 600 delegates from nearly 140 countries, focusing on cultural diversity for global peace, in line with President Xi Jinping’s Global Civilisation Initiative.

Ceesay concluded by promoting human dignity and rejecting military power, expressing The Gambia’s willingness to collaborate with China for the sake of peace and sustainable development.
