The Gambia Police Force completed a three-week training program for officers selected for UN peacekeeping operations, starting on August 4, 2025.
The training, organized by the Peace Support Office, utilized UN training materials. Key officials emphasized the importance of discipline and professionalism among peacekeepers.
Commissioner Famara Jobarteh commended the officers’ efforts and expressed hope that they would apply their training effectively, highlighting the GPF’s commitment to improving its international peacekeeping capabilities.
