The Gambia Police Force (GPF) has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with its Senegalese counterpart on bilateral security cooperation.

“On the sidelines of his ongoing official visit to Senegal, Inspector General of Police Seedy Mukhtar Touray witnessed the signing of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Senegalese National Police and the Gambia Police Force.

The MoU formalizes and enhances bilateral cooperation in areas such as information sharing, joint operations, training, and capacity building. This historic agreement marks a new chapter in the commitment of both police institutions to collectively combat transnational crime, strengthen border security, and ensure peace and stability within the sub-region.

IGP Touray, alongside his counterpart Inspector General Mame Seydou Ndour, reaffirmed the importance of this partnership as a demonstration of their dedication to maintaining safety and security in both nations.”
