GACH Global’s philanthropic division, the Abubakary Jawara Foundation, has recently donated 200 solar streetlights to the Gambisara community. This initiative is designed to enhance safety and improve living conditions by providing dependable lighting, reducing crime, and encouraging community activities during the evening hours.

This donation is a key part of GACH’s ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility and local development efforts throughout The Gambia. The foundation has also completed a D10 million solar panel project in Gambisara.

Abubakary Jawara, CEO of GACH Global, emphasized his dedication to philanthropy during the donation event in Gambisara. He noted that he previously invested over D13 million in donating 600 streetlights and developing a village football field. While most charitable acts are conducted privately, Jawara believes that publicized donations can inspire others to contribute.

He is committed to using his resources to foster social change and improve lives, attributing his generosity to values passed down from his family. He urged Gambians to support local businesses and collaborate for national development, highlighting the significance of community-driven initiatives.
