The Finance and Public Accounts Committee (FPAC) has released a report on the Kanifing Municipal Council (KMC), highlighting financial and governance issues from 2017 to 2021.

1. Over GMD7.6 million in payment vouchers are missing, with potential police involvement if not submitted within 30 days.

2. There are significant violations of financial rules, including unaccounted funds and weak internal controls.

3. Incomplete documentation exists, with missing personnel files and unreconciled cash books.

4. KMC purchased a GMD1.1 million bottle crusher machine that is unused and did not follow proper procurement guidelines.

5. IT issues include fake operating systems and inadequate security.
