Modou-Ceesay-unlawful-dismissal

On October 3rd, the attorney representing former Auditor General Modou Ceesay initiated a legal action at the Supreme Court against the Attorney General and the Inspector General of Police, arguing that his dismissal was unlawful.

Led by Senior Counsel Lamin J Darbo, his legal team is requesting a judicial declaration that Ceesay’s dismissal is null and void.

They contend that the police’s actions breached several provisions of the 1997 Constitution of The Gambia and the National Audit Office Act, 2015.

The court has allowed the defendants 21 days to file their response.
