Five Gambian Tailors Are Set To Train At A Textile University In China

Five Gambian tailors are participating in a 15-day textile technology training program at China Textile University, sponsored by the Chinese Embassy in Banjul.

This is the first time Gambian tailors have received such training in China. The tailors represent various associations, and the initiative is part of the YIRWA Development Project, which aims to enhance the creative sector.

Minister Abdoulie Jobe expressed gratitude for the Chinese support, highlighting the program’s potential to create job opportunities for youth. The tailors, led by Fatou Korka, thanked the NCAC and the Chinese Embassy for the opportunity.
