Minister of Defence Baboucarr Ousmaila Joof took part in a national cleansing exercise on the Banjul Highway to combat littering and improve environmental sanitation.
Supported by The Gambia Armed Forces and security services, the initiative highlights a commitment to public health and the country’s image. Minister Joof commended the security personnel, stressed the need for regular maintenance by local authorities, and cited Rwanda as an example of civic discipline.
