On December 5, 2025, the Gambia Police Force organized a school outreach event in Banjul as part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. Officers from various units engaged with students at Muhammedan Lower Basic School, discussing topics such as community policing, children’s rights, cyber safety, and the importance of evidence protection.
Key messages emphasized the significance of community-police partnerships, encouraged students to speak out against abuse, highlighted the preservation of evidence in cases of sexual and gender-based violence, and raised awareness of online risks—this initiative aimed to foster safer learning environments and strengthen the relationship between the police and schools.
