A collaborative evaluation team, including the National Environment Agency (NEA), GIRAV PROJECT, the Department of Forestry, and the Ministry of Water Resources, is assessing the development of 40 model gardens, known as “Women and Youth-led Agribusiness Firms (WYLAFs).” The assessment focuses on environmental standards, water management, and sustainability.

In the Upper River Region (URR), three gardens, each 5 hectares, are 75% complete and expected to finish by January 2026. Each garden features two boreholes, gender-separated toilets, and a waiting shed, aiming to empower women, enhance food security, and promote climate-smart agribusiness practices, engaging 2,000 individuals year-round.
