Five Nigerians have been Convicted in a Cybercrime Case

The Gambia Police Force secured convictions against IGP vs. Henry Obinna and four Nigerian nationals at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court for charges including illegal possession of devices, computer-related extortion, fraud, and forgery.

All defendants admitted guilt, and they are currently held at Mile II Central Prison, with sentencing scheduled for October 6, 2025. The Police emphasize their commitment to combating cybercrime and protecting national security.
