On Tuesday, Israel conducted an airstrike in Doha targeting Hamas leaders, resulting in six deaths, none of whom were senior officials.
This incident heightened concerns regarding the ceasefire negotiations led by Qatar and the US. Qatar condemned the strike as a violation of international laws, receiving support from Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
Hamas confirmed that its top leaders were unharmed, while five lower-ranking members were killed. The US, aware of the strike beforehand, distanced itself, with President Trump labeling it an “unfortunate incident” that hindered peace efforts.
