Increased IMF Support for The Gambia

The IMF has increased funding for The Gambia to over 165 million USD for economic and climate initiatives, praised by IMF Director Dr. Outtara WAUTABOUNA, with President Adama Barrow emphasizing African integration and Finance Minister Seedy Keita detailing implementation.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has increased its support for The Gambia to over 165 million USD, including 100 million USD for the Enhanced Credit Facility and 65 million USD for Climate Smart financing.

This was announced during a visit by IMF Executive Director Dr. Outtara WAUTABOUNA, who praised President Adama Barrow’s leadership.

President Barrow expressed gratitude for the support and highlighted the importance of teamwork for African integration.

Finance Minister Seedy Keita reported on the implementation of the Enhanced Credit Facility and the country’s eligibility for Climate Smart Finance.
