Fuel Tanker Caught Fire at Brufut Ghana Town Beach

A tragic fire erupted in Brufut, Ghana, on August 29, 2025, during a fuel tanker offload, claiming two lives, injuring two others, destroying vehicles and property, and triggering a police and CSI investigation to uncover the cause.

On August 29, 2025, a fire broke out in Brufut, Ghana, while a fuel tanker was unloading.

The tanker belonged to Samasam Company, and its owner, Aziz Sam, was offloading fuel into a container run by Sheikh Tijan Njie. The fire destroyed the tanker, several vehicles, and machines, and damaged some cash.

Two people, Ali Touray and Abdou Touray, died from the fire. Two others, Lamin Jarju and Sulayman Faal, suffered serious injuries. The area has been blocked off, and police and the CSI team are investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
