The Chinese Embassy in Banjul held a farewell reception for the 22nd Chinese Medical Team and welcomed the 23rd team, underscoring China’s support for The Gambia’s healthcare system.
The 22nd team, which recently completed a year at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital, provided complex surgeries, outpatient care, and training for local medical staff.
Ambassador Liu praised their dedication, while Lamin Dampha and Dr. Mustapha Bittaye expressed gratitude for the ongoing partnership.
Captain Cai shared his rewarding experience, and Captain Lin, head of the new team, committed to maintaining high standards in healthcare for the Gambian people.
