Justice Sonia of the Banjul High Court asked the legal representatives of Rongo and the Alkalo of Banjulunding to agree on documents to speed up a long-standing case.

The case is back at the High Court, where Rongo will present new evidence for his claim to own customary land. Lawyer Kebba Sanyang requested additional time to review Rongo’s evidence, but Counsel Borry S. Touray argued that this was unnecessary.

Justice Sonia reminded Sanyang of a previous order to finish this before the sitting. They granted an adjournment to discuss which documents are admissible and urged both parties to meet outside court.

The case is now adjourned to 3rd July 2025. Rongo plans to present essential documents, including newspaper articles, apology letters, warning letters, project documents, and expert opinions about document forgery.
