The Gambia’s $12 Million Medical Donation from Cornerstone Foundation and MAP International

The Gambia received a $12 million donation of medical items from the Cornerstone Foundation in partnership with MAP International. President Adama Barrow described this as the most significant health support in the country’s history and thanked the donors.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to improving healthcare. Cornerstone’s CEO, Oley Faal, emphasized the value of government-private sector collaborations.

The Ministry of Health’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Yusupha Touray, also expressed gratitude and praised President Barrow’s focus on health services. Earlier, Cornerstone had donated over one million Dalasis worth of medicine and supported health sector initiatives in The Gambia.
