Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and U.S. President Donald Trump discussed trilateral talks with Russia’s Vladimir Putin to resolve the war in Ukraine during a meeting in the Oval Office.
Trump supported security guarantees for Ukraine and indicated that the negotiation results could be revealed soon. This meeting followed a summit between Trump and Putin in Alaska.
Trump suggested Zelenskyy consider territorial compromises to end the conflict, with European leaders present to advocate for Ukraine and deter Russian aggression.
Trump plans to communicate with Putin after these discussions.
