On September 12, 2025, Dr. Abubacarr Jawara, CEO of GACH Global Group, hosted Trade Minister Baboucarr Ousmaila Joof and members of the Gambia Business Association at the GACH Jaeja Tomato Factory.
This visit underscored the government’s commitment to supporting local industrial and agro-processing enterprises as part of a broader initiative to assess operations and enhance economic growth.
Minister Joof recognized the importance of GACH for job creation and food security, emphasizing the factory’s role in reducing reliance on imports and promoting local value addition.
His visit aligned with government efforts to boost exports, such as trade protocols for duty-free access for Gambian cashew nuts to China. Both Minister Joof and Sir Farimang Saho of the Business Association expressed gratitude during the visit, which aimed to encourage investment in local industries for sustainable growth.
