The paramilitary unit receives gear worth over D1M from the German police

On Tuesday, the German Police Support Team presented items worth more than one million dalasis to the Police Intervention Unit at Kanifing. The donated items include combat boots, Socks, First Aid bags, Radio sets, Tactical Packs, and Tactical vests. 

On behalf of Inspector General of Police Abdoulie Sanyang, Commissioner of Police Adelaine Bassangeh, head of The Police Intervention Unit, received the items. CP Bassangeh appreciated the donation and commended The German Police Support Team for the continuous support to GPF, especially the PIU.

German Government help

The German Ambassador Klaus Botzet, The Deputy Head of Project and Head of Sub Project PIU Steffan Haas, and senior officers including Christian Prodromou, Johannes Altenburger, Adrian Scherge, Serap Bahadir from the Geman Police Support Team, and The Gambia Police Force graced the ceremony.
