The Gambia advocates for impactful partnerships at the 2nd Russia-Africa Ministerial Partnership Forum

On December 20, 2025, Gambia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Sering Modou Njie, spoke at the 2nd Russia–Africa Ministerial Partnership Forum in Cairo. He highlighted the importance of resilient economies for small states like The Gambia and outlined cooperation priorities under the theme “Trade, Economy and Investment,” which include:

1. Agriculture and Food Security
2. Energy Development
3. Trade Facilitation & Industrialisation
4. Human Capital & Digital Transformation

Njie reaffirmed The Gambia’s commitment to sustainable partnerships and announced that the country will host the 10th OIC Ministerial Conference on Agriculture and Food Security in early 2026. He called for impactful partnerships and concrete projects for inclusive growth and sustainable development.
