Suspect in killing of Police officers pleads not guilty

Ousainou Bojang, the primary suspect in the shooting and killing of two Gambian Police officers at Sukuta-Jabang in September, has pleaded not guilty to four counts of murder.

He appeared before Justice Ebrima Jaiteh of the High Court in Banjul under a heavy security escort.

The slain police officers were Sang J Gomez and Pateh Jallow

The suspect cop killer, Ousainou Bojang, is facing multiple charges, including murdering the two police officers. The state has filed five more new indictments, including Murder, Attempted Murder, and Grievous Bodily Harm, against Ousainou Bojang, while Amie Bojang is facing a single charge of Accessory After the Fact to Murder.

Two accused persons were arraigned before the Kanifing Magistrate Court; however, it was transferred to the High Court due to lack of jurisdiction. The accused persons are facing charges related to a shooting incident of police officers. Ousainou Bojang is charged with murder and terrorist attacks. He is accused of causing the death of two police officers and injuring one, while Amie Bojang is charged as an accessory after the fact to murder. She’s alleged to have aided or abetted Ousainou Bojang after the shooting incident occurred.
