Senegal’s Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko will not attend an investment forum in Paris on September 23 due to a schedule conflict, with a government delegate representing him instead.
This situation has raised questions about the relationship between France and Senegal, especially after President Bassirou Diomaye Faye’s talks with Emmanuel Macron in August.
Sonko plans to host the French prime minister in Dakar for a seminar and is currently on an official visit to the UAE, with upcoming travel to Italy on September 13 and 14 to engage with the Senegalese diaspora in Europe.
