The UCI Road World Championships took place in Kigali under the theme “Riding New Heights,” featuring over 1,000 participants.

Remco Evenepoel from Belgium won the Men’s Individual Time Trial for the third consecutive year, finishing in 49:06. In the Women’s Elite ITT, Marlen Reusser from Switzerland claimed her first world title with a time of 43:09.

This event was notable for its historic participation of 106 countries, including a record 35 from Africa.
