President Adama Barrow is happy with the progress of road construction in The Gambia. As of 2025, most roads are nearly complete, with only one remaining to be finished, he said.
He thanked the community for their support and the development partners for their funding. Barrow praised the National Roads Authority and the Ministry of Works.
He mentioned the government’s plan to build 350 kilometers of roads by itself. Barrow announced that phase two of the project will be completed by the end of the year, and phase three will commence immediately thereafter.
He emphasized the importance of road development for the country’s growth, along with investments in electricity, education, and healthcare.
