Hussein Taha, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), discussed significant developments in Palestine yesterday with both Gambia’s Foreign Minister, Mamadou Tangara, and Cameroon’s Foreign Minister, Lejeune Mbella, considering the recent statement made by the US President.
According to a statement from the OIC, these conversations took place during calls between Taha and Tangara, who is currently chairing the Islamic Summit Conference, and Mbella, the chairman of the ongoing session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization.
The discussions also centered on the possibility of convening a ministerial meeting to articulate the organization’s position against the displacement of the Palestinian people and to reinforce their resilience in the face of aggressive Israeli policies.
