At least twenty Nigerian educators have been deployed to The Gambia’s higher education sector through the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps program.

They will serve in key institutions, including the University of The Gambia and the Civil Service University.

The Gambian Minister of Higher Education highlighted this initiative as a demonstration of solidarity between Nigeria and The Gambia, important for national development.

The Nigerian High Commission noted that Nigeria has provided technical assistance to various countries since 1987.

The Nigerian government will cover the volunteers’ salaries, while The Gambia will provide housing and support.
