The Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Mr. Emmanuel Daniel Joof, and the Director of Communications, Mr. Mohamed L. Touray, donated approximately 200 human rights publications to the Kanifing Municipal Library, the Municipality’s first community library.

The donation was accepted by Mrs. Zainab Sesay, the Library Chairperson, and Mr. Kajali Janneh, the Library Manager, who expressed their gratitude. The library features over 400,000 books, a reading area, a computer station, a repair tool café, and a children’s section.

The NHRC plans to establish a Human Rights Corner in this library and others nationwide to promote access to human rights materials.
