The Ladoum sheep pageant in Senegal highlights the country’s valuable sheep, often likened to Ferraris.
The annual event features categories for both adult and young sheep, judged on size and beauty. This year’s Best Male Adult, named Prive and owned by Isaiah Cisse, is valued at over $100,000.
Ladoum sheep symbolize luxury, typically costing around $70,000. The contest attracts large crowds, features performances, and encourages young breeders, such as 12-year-old Ibrahim Diagne, who aim to continue the tradition of sheep farming.
