West Africa faces health risks due to uncontrolled sexual enhancers; particularly herbal solutions marketed for virility.

A New York Times report highlights serious side effects, such as excessive drooling, severe headaches, dangerous erections, and increased heart attack risk.

Authorities in the Ivory Coast discovered that beverages like Attoté contain high levels of Viagra, often imported illegally from India.

With around half of West African medications unregulated, these products contribute to an estimated 500,000 fatalities annually. Despite Ivory Coast ceasing production for health reasons, the demand for these stimulants remains high.
