Gambia Ministry of Information has joined the launch of the National Democracy Assessment Project

The “Assessing and Strengthening Democracy in The Gambia” project, launched on October 31, 2025, by CepRass and NED, evaluates democratic progress through nationwide surveys to promote transparency and accountability ahead of the 2026 elections.

The project “Assessing and Strengthening Democracy in The Gambia” was officially inaugurated on October 31, 2025, by Minister Dr. Ismaila Ceesay at the NaNA Conference Center.

Conducted by CepRass and supported by the NED, it aims to analyze democratic advances, gauge citizens’ confidence in institutions, and promote reforms to improve representation, transparency, and accountability.

The initiative, led by Dr. Adama Touray and Mr. Lamin Dampha, will include nationwide opinion polls and surveys over two years to guide policymaking ahead of the 2026 General Elections.
