On December 12, 2025, the Gambia Police Force held a community outreach program at Essau Lower Basic School to enhance public safety awareness and strengthen police-community relations. Led by Sergeant Corr, officers from the Gambia Immigration Department and the Drug Law Enforcement Agency participated in the event.
They educated students about community policing, the police’s role in ensuring peace, proper documentation to prevent irregular migration, and the dangers of drug abuse. The interactive session was well received, with the school principal and staff requesting similar programs monthly. The Gambia Police Force continues to prioritize proactive community engagement and partnerships with educational institutions.
