
The fourth edition of the CAF African Schools Football Championship WAFU A qualifiers took place in Banjul, featuring a competitive atmosphere and an award ceremony.
The Gambia secured bronze medals in both the boys’ and girls’ categories, with the boys defeating Mauritania in a penalty shootout and the girls narrowly losing to Senegal. Each team received a bronze medal and a $50,000 cheque from the Mozepeh Foundation.
Additionally, over 100 participants received certificates from President Lamin Kaba Bajo, marking the end of the five-day event.
