African Youth Union Commission Visited the Ministry of Interior

The African Youth Union Commission (AYUS), founded in 2017 by young leaders from 55 African nations, met with The Gambia’s Minister of Interior to advance governance reforms, civic engagement, and sustainable development, earning praise for fostering African unity and peace.

The African Youth Union Commission (AYUS) recently met with the Honorable Minister of Interior at the Ministry’s headquarters in Kotu.

Founded on January 28, 2017, AYUS is an independent think tank established by young leaders from all 55 African Union member states, focusing on governance reforms, civic engagement, human rights, and sustainable development.

With a presence in over 40 African nations and 16 diaspora chapters, AYUS received recognition from Deputy Permanent Secretary Mr. Lamin J Gassama for its contributions to African unity.

AYUS Country Director Mr. Lamin Jammeh highlighted the importance of African Unionism in promoting peace and development, showcasing the innovative and resilient spirit of Africa’s youth.
