Investigation into Sergeant Adama Jagne’s Actions Regarding Ex-President Jammeh’s Property Sale

Gambia’s Special Select Committee accused Sergeant Adama Jagne of contempt for trying to sway witnesses in the probe into ex-President Yahya Jammeh’s asset sales, resulting in his arrest and handover to Military Police, as per constitutional provisions.

A special Select Committee looking into the sale and handling of ex-President Jammeh’s properties has accused Sergeant Adama Jagne of showing contempt for the National Assembly.

Jagne is said to have tried to sway possible witnesses during the investigation.

He was apprehended by the Sergeant-at-Arms and transferred to the Military Police, in accordance with the laws of the Gambia Constitution and the rules of the National Assembly.
