Mdaka Announces Amajita Squad for U20 World Cup

South Africa U20 coach Raymond Mdaka has announced the final squad for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile, taking place from September 27 to October 19.

The team qualified by winning the U-20 AFCON in May, along with Nigeria, Morocco, and Egypt. The 21-man squad includes 17 players from AFCON, featuring standout Tylon Smith and goalkeeper Fletcher Lowe, while Mbekezeli Mbokazi and Shandre Campbell are notable absentees.

New players Luke Baartman and Siyabonga Mabena have been added. South Africa’s first match is against France on September 29 at Estadio El Teniente in Rancagua.
