Gambia Police Foils Illegal Migration Attempt at Lamin Lodge

On September 5, 2025, 46 youths were arrested in The Gambia at Lamin Lodge for attempting illegal migration to Europe, now under investigation by the Gambia Police and Immigration Department in Tanji to address irregular migration.

On September 5, 2025, police arrested 46 young individuals at Lamin Lodge for attempting to leave for Europe without proper documentation.

They were initially taken to the New Yundum Charge Office and then transferred to the Immigration Unit in Tanji.

A joint investigation by the police and the Gambia Immigration Department will address issues related to irregular migration. The Gambia Police Force encourages young people to seek safer, legal migration options.
