Kenyan Police Officer dies in Haiti Armored Accident

A tragic accident in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, involving two armored vehicles killed at least two, including a civilian, and injured eight Kenyan police officers from a U.N.-backed mission, with three seriously wounded officers treated in the Dominican Republic.

An accident in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, involved two armored vehicles and led to at least two deaths, including one civilian.

Eight Kenyan police officers, who are part of a U.N.-backed mission against gangs, were injured. Three of the wounded officers are in serious condition and were flown to the Dominican Republic for treatment.

The accident happened when an armored vehicle towing another broke down. This incident brings the total number of Kenyan police officers killed in Haiti since the mission began to three.
