Office of National Security: Training Workshop for Security Sector Reform and Governance

Gambia Office of National Security (ONS) conducted a five-day training workshop from August 18, 2025, for 50 participants from different institutions in the security sector, supported by ECOWAS, at Bakadaji Hotel.

The workshop aimed to enhance understanding of security sector reform and governance (SSRG) and foster dialogue on The Gambia’s SSR efforts, which have been in progress since 2017.

The training emphasized gender sensitivity and inclusivity, with expected outcomes including improved coordination, accountability, and collaboration in national security reform.
