The Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) held a workshop for legal professionals to introduce the new Integrated Tax Administration System (ITAS), which will replace the outdated GAMTAXNET system.
Supported by the World Bank and the IMF, ITAS allows online registration, submission, and payment processing for taxpayers, enhancing convenience and efficiency.
Commissioner General Yankuba Darboe emphasized the need for tax agents to adapt to these changes to improve compliance and minimize fraud.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner General Essa Jallow noted that ITAS aims to create a more efficient and transparent tax system that benefits both taxpayers and the GRA.
