Yankuba Darboe, the Commissioner General of the Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA), reported a substantial rise in revenue collection from January to July 2025, surpassing the target of D13.5 billion by more than D2.1 billion, with total collections exceeding D15.6 billion.
He expressed optimism about achieving the 2025 revenue goal of around D23 billion, noting the need to raise D7.3 billion from August to December.
Darboe credited the GRA’s achievements to ongoing digitalization and reforms, which have enhanced efficiency and transparency, including the deployment of systems such as ASYCUDA World and the Single Window system.
