Police Arrested Three Foreigners for Possessing Firearms and Drugs

The Gambia’s DLEAG arrested three foreigners, including an Indian with over 25,000 ecstasy pills and firearms, and two Guinea-Bissau nationals with cocaine, among eight drug-related arrests from July 24-31, 2025, urging public vigilance against trafficking.

The Drug Law Enforcement Agency of The Gambia (DLEAG) has apprehended three foreign individuals, two from Guinea-Bissau and one from India, on charges of possessing illegal drugs and firearms.

Mohammed Rafique Kabir Khan, an Indian national and the manager of Envy Night Club, was discovered with more than 25,000 suspected ecstasy pills along with other drugs and firearms at his residence.

The two suspects from Guinea-Bissau had 25 blocks of suspected cocaine. All individuals are facing charges of drug trafficking and conspiracy, while Khan is also charged with possession of firearms.

DLEAG has reported eight drug-related arrests made between July 24th and 31st, 2025, which include a 49-year-old national from Senegal who was caught with a pistol. DLEAG urges the public to remain vigilant in the fight against drug trafficking.
