Yankuba Darboe, who serves as the Chairman of the Brikama Area Council (BAC), reported that the council generated D103 million in revenue from January through June 2025, marking a notable increase compared to prior years.

He credited this achievement to anti-corruption measures and highlighted a shift in mindset with the slogan “Don’t Lie, Don’t Steal, Job Rek.” Darboe commended council officials for their commitment and urged residents to pay their taxes punctually.

The introduction of new waste trucks is intended to enhance waste management and support economic activities. BAC aims to collect D200 million by the end of 2025 to improve its services further.
