Five Individuals Deported from the US to Eswatini (Africa) due to Criminal Convictions

The U.S. has sent five men to Eswatini as part of its deportation program after a Supreme Court ruling. These men, from Vietnam, Jamaica, Cuba, Yemen, and Laos, are convicted criminals whose home countries will not accept them back.

Eswatini’s authorities have not commented on this situation yet. The Trump administration wants to make more agreements with African countries for deportations, but some, like Nigeria, are resisting U.S. pressure.

Eswatini, ruled by King Mswati III since 1986, has a population of about 1.2 million and has been criticized for suppressing political opposition.
