ChildFund has distributed over 1,000 bicycles to help children in The Gambia access education. This is part of the Zero Out-of-School Children (ZOOSC) project, which aims to enroll 66,765 children who are not currently in school.

The bicycles were delivered to the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education in two batches: the first in December 2023 and the second in August 2024.

Key supporters, including Child Fund’s Country Coordinator, Musu Kuta Komma, and UNICEF representatives, emphasized the importance of this project in addressing transportation issues for students.

Additionally, Adama Jimba Jobe from MOBSE expressed gratitude and promised that no student would have to walk more than 3 kilometers to school.
