The People’s Progressive Party (PPP) has initiated the establishment of an Assets Recovery Committee (ARC) to reclaim properties that the AFPRC government seized following the 1994 coup.
On May 27, 2025, Party Leader Ousman Madikay Faal convened an emergency meeting to form the ARC, which operates under the authority of the party’s constitution.
The committee’s objective is to recover assets through collaboration with various stakeholders, including legal experts and community leaders. It will also engage with government officials to negotiate compensation and facilitate the return of the seized properties.
Backed by the central committee, the ARC will consist of members who possess extensive knowledge of the party’s assets and historical context.
